The ease and cost-effectiveness of using LLM-based AI models for spreading misinformation pose a serious threat to the integrity of online discourse. To mitigate the spread of misinformation by AI bots, the study suggests implementing a three-pronged approach involving education, legislation, and social media account validation policies.
